Everyday use
Tasks, Today and reminders
Turn an action into a task and see what needs your attention.
In the app: Tasks / Today
Give each action a clear next step
- Open Tasks and add a short, specific title. Choose a list to keep related tasks together.
- Add a due date and, when timing matters, a due time. Set Progress to reflect what you are actually working on.
- Use Today for a view of due and overdue work. Mark completed tasks as done.
Try this
“Call Morgan about the launch” is easier to act on than “Launch”. Add tomorrow’s date and a time if you need a reminder.
Dates and reminders mean different things
- Due date and time
- When the task needs attention. Check the time zone shown by your device, especially when travelling.
- Reminder
- Turn on the task’s reminder when you want an alert. A timed reminder needs a date and time. The web app shows in-page reminders while it is open; phone alerts depend on notification permission and setup.
- In my calendar
- Adds a dated task to your phone’s calendar the next time the ThoughtKeeper phone app is open and has calendar permission. The web setting stores your choice; the phone app creates and updates the event.
- Voice changes
- In Talk, try “Add a task to call Morgan tomorrow” or “Move the invoice task to In progress”. Read the app’s confirmed result; review pending changes before applying them. Use Undo when offered.
