Which tool should I use?
A simple guide to recording, dictation, conversations and writing.
Start with what you want to do
- Record a thought
- Use this for a notebook entry you want to keep. The app saves the recording and processes it into a note.
- Dictate text
- Use this for words you want to copy into an email, message or other app. Review the result, then copy it or choose Save as a note. Dictation by itself creates no tasks.
- Talk
- Use this to ask questions, think aloud or request changes to tasks. Read the result and review any proposed changes. Save your words separately if you want a note.
- Writing tools
- Use this to reshape text you already have. Preview a rewrite, translation or summary, then apply or copy it.
- Write
- Use this to draft new copy from experiences and writing examples you have approved in your Personal library.
- Research
- Use this for outside information from the web, a public page or video captions. Inspect the sources and save the result if you want it in your notebook.
Try this
An idea to remember → Record. A message to send → Dictate text. “What did I decide last week?” → Talk or search your notes. A draft to polish → Writing tools.
